How much does a custom-built pool cost in Marbella?
Price depends on size, terrain and equipment. For a family-sized custom-built pool (8x4 m) in Marbella, the typical range is from €40,000 to €80,000 including a basic technical room. Infinity edge and beach-entry pools usually start at around €65,000. We provide a fixed-price quote after the technical visit.
How long does building a premium pool take?
Between 8 and 14 weeks from contract signature, depending on complexity and the time of year. Infinity edge pools with reinforced technical rooms may require 16 weeks. We provide a week-by-week schedule before starting and honour the timelines by contract.
What licences do I need to build a pool in Marbella or Sotogrande?
Every custom-built pool requires a municipal planning licence and, in some cases, a project approved by a technical architect. Our in-house technical architect handles the full process — from the project to the final certificate — as part of the service.
What is a pool technical room and why does it matter?
The technical room houses filtration, water treatment (salt electrolysis or chlorination), climate control and home automation. It is the invisible heart of the pool: properly sized and equipped with leading brands, it saves on maintenance, water, energy and extends the life of the build.
What's the difference between an overflow and infinity pool?
The terms are practically synonymous. Technically, an 'overflow' (or 'infinity') pool means the water spills over one or more sides through a perimeter channel connecting to a balance tank. Visually, the effect is the famous infinite water surface blending into the horizon.
